Daily lesson plan for English Year 1

Subject : English Language Class : 1 Merah Time : 8.45-9.45 a.m

Focus :  Reading Theme : World of Knowledge Topic : How many Content Standards : 3.2 – By the end of the 6 year primary schooling , pupils will be able to write using appropriate , form and style for range of purposes. Learning Standards : 3.2.4 Able to spell common sight words and seen words. Learning Objectives : By the end of the lesson , pupils should be able to ; 1.      Read and spell the words based on the pictures shown. 2.      Able to listen to say aloud and recite rhymes or sing song with guidance. 3.      Able to talk about a stimulus with guidance. 4.       Able to recognize and articulate initial,medial and the final sounds in single syllables words. Step 1 Teacher sing the song with pupils. Step 2 Ask the pupils to say  the name the objects in the pictures.  Pupils spell the name of the objects in the pictures. Step 3 Pupils recite a poem and pronounce the words correctly. Closure  Sing the song again together. Teaching Aids : 1.      Picture cards of the animals. 2.      Textbook 3.      Computers Added Values / EMK / Educational Emphasis: Co-operation
